Never underestimate the underdog.

That applies to designers, art directors, copywriters and sports teams.

She blinded me with Giants. I saw 10 million people hug last night, Goliath laying at their feet.

The underdog has more to prove. When a person or team is heralded as the best ever (or greatest or most amazing etc), more people start believing the hype and stop working on improving themselves. But the underdog... the underdog has to fight, to improve, to create something new.
At some level we always root for the underdog, because we can tie our personal struggles to the battle that we see them going through. And when they win, we feel that we too can endure and overcome.
