Very true, and God knows, in advertising, it's the people who have good ethics that ultimately go far.*
*Kick ass creative solutions that are fresh and unexpected will get you there too.
Well, I disagree. If a person chooses to develop themselves on the intellectual, societal, and cultural level, one can only hope that they can change their ethics if they are skewed. Personally, my ethics have evolved over time and will continue to do so as my environment/situation calls for it.
However, that leads into a bigger discussion of who decides what is ethical. You might think you get to decide, but in reality, society rules the ethical roost.
