What do you do when you hit the wall or just cannot think of a new idea?

I get angry. Then I get scared. Then I get desperate.

There are times I have to be desperate to create.

I push through...terrified, but resolved. The work that I'm proudest of has come out of that awful place.

Actually hit the wall. Feel the pain. Close my eyes. Eureka.

Keep pushing like I'm constipated.

usually. i try to go to sleep.

anxiety prevents me from actually sleeping. but trying to clear my mind, sometimes leads my subconscious towards a solution.

I like to just talk/discuss/dance/be random with someone else. Trade and share experiences.

My desk usually suffices for the head-bang-hit, but then I usually just get a headache. However, it leads me to get some aspirin and a big glass of water (and a short walk to the kitchen) and I think all three of those are more productive than head banging. But if it's what you've got to do to do it, go get at it :)

i go to plaza fiesta (the mexican mall in ga) with my best friend. we eat churros and get our picture taken together, then photoshopped, (for like, only $8) to look like we are sitting together, in the lap of jesus. . . . in a fancy frame. i win.
