i always laugh at people who freak out on turbulent flights. maybe i just enjoy having one aspect of my life that i can't possibly control. or maybe i'm just morbid and have nothing to lose. either way, i'm the type that smiles.
And very rarely, those who sleep on roller coasters. Obscure British comedy reference anyone?
I attempt to ride with a facial expression of "I am so not entertianed," while raising my hands. I can never make it to the end without cracking a smile.
I smile through roller coasters, but also always imagine every detail of the death scenario. I see the one important screw come loose from its holding, I see my harness fling open, and I see my body slam against the pavement, brain splatter and everything. But then I think, this is the most awesome way I could possibly die.
Well, at least a close second to the scenerio in "Joe vs.the Volcano," if Joe had actually died instead of getting rocketed out of the volcano and onto a suitcase with Meg Ryan.
