As egomaniacal professional bullshitters, it takes a lot more balls to try and fail. And then present the evidence of your failure. Though a great deal of talent can be instinctive, a great deal of talent can also be forged through humbling moments like these.
Besides - get over yourself. You can't bullshit a bullshitter. The transparency of your "brilliant" excuse will be realized WAY sooner than you think. Then you're F-ed. In the A.
