So far, what neither ad- nor design-related project has inspired you the most?

A few years ago I had an hour or so to kill on Manhattan’s upper east side when I noticed The Guggenheim was having a Frank Gehry exhibition.
It rocked my world. I could see, right there on tables and in sketches, how the most creative mind in architecture created, from idea stage to fully realized buildings. I was moved to see both his brilliance and how his creative process is so similar to ours as ad and design creatives.

Then, a year or so later, I saw that Gehry had designed the trophy for the World Cup of Hockey. Not just another building, the trophy was a dramatic, soaring confluence of Gehry’s talent and his passion for a sport.

The works of the great Mr. Dale Chihuly. His blown glass really brings you to another place, internally and artistically.

Check out his work at: http://www.chihuly.com/

And I'd have to agree with Marques on the lyrical and musical genius of Radiohead.

A cold beer on a hot beach listening to Jimmy Buffett.

That's right, God is a creative, Jimmy is a great storyteller, and whoever brews Corona is just plain good.

I'm not sure if any of these are my definite "all-time favorites." But after experiencing them, they each made me redefine how I think about certain things...

-Catcher in the Rye (Salinger)
-Catch-22 (Heller)
-Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)
-OK Computer (Radiohead)
-In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (Neutral Milk Hotel)

Let me append my earlier message by adding the lyrics and harmonies of Saul Williams, RJD2, the Delfonics, and that moment/face you make when you bite into something sour. That moment is epic.
