My Nintendo DS is not actually a toy. It’s a finely-tuned tool of procrastination, diabolically created as part of a Japanese government mission to gain global dominance by sabotaging American workplace productivity.

mainly blogs. I had to sell the playstation to break the addiction, it's nice to draw pictures again.
Also drawing pics at work a) lubes the mind and b) can be passed off as work easier than a video game can
I try to make it count as work by visiting ad/design related blogs and weening myself away from facebook.
But dammnit those cat videos get me every time. Also watching children fall is a personal favorite.
HBO. College hoops. An electronic drum kit that makes odd sounds.
And the 8-bit NES - until the 2nd quest of Legend of Zelda and Tyson's Punch-Out cease to be entertaining.
The Deck of Cards. I use these fifty-two pieces of pasteboard for prestidigitation. No matter what the obligation or responsibility is, I dawdle by coming up with ideas for a tricks or burying my head into a book on the subject of sleight-of-hand magic. I'm gonna stop shuffling and buy a ticket to Atlanta.

If you haven't already, Dan, I suggest you try procrastinating by playing Rock Band.
Its playlist includes a track called "Tom Sawyer," by some Canadian band named Rush. Heard their drummer was decent.
Most of the time, I sit around and absorb information from Wikipedia, CNN, or tech/entertainment blogs. Or I communicate with peoples via MySpace or Adium. Or I read copies or Wired or the suggested read from class. Or I haunt Dan's blog and write really long posts.
