I am adjusting to the actors, but the show really takes me back to my big-agency days.Danhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00718540789387603915noreply@blogger.comBlogger4125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36823163262318275.post-29042285914498335032009-02-05T15:28:00.000-05:002009-02-05T15:28:00.000-05:00Good question, Elizabeth. I watched St. Elsewhere in my teens, Miami Vice and LA Law in my twenties and Star Trek and Ally McBeal in my thirties. I liked those shows despite my not being a doctor, cop, lawyer or Vulcan.

There is some stuff on Trust Me that is universal, like balancing work and family, rejection, failed relationships and office politics.

And — unfortunately for us creatives at holiday dinners — everyone is an expert when it comes to advertising. My cousins, aunts and uncles would love to see what goes on in the ad biz, just so they can tell me how it really is.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00718540789387603915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36823163262318275.post-27874311994397305842009-02-05T12:41:00.000-05:002009-02-05T12:41:00.000-05:00"What Women Want" introduced me to advertising as ..."What Women Want" introduced me to advertising as a job... granted it had a bigger plot (than Trust Me, so far); however, I hope it inspires many new young people too. Advertising seems more "popular" than it did when I first started wanting to do it (11 years ago). Is this true? Or just my perception? (p.s. I don't know how to italicize on a blog comment, hence the quotes around the movie.)Jenniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14387044057396627719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36823163262318275.post-771597074323565152009-02-05T11:23:00.000-05:002009-02-05T11:23:00.000-05:00Elizabeth I think if it's not the it will be soon ...Elizabeth I think if it's not the it will be soon cause they'll have to change it for a bigger audience, expect relationship plot lines to abound. I think the show is pretty good, but as a young creative i'd like to say i'm nothing like the dude with crazy hair and glasses.Rusty Broomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10452816698711158694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36823163262318275.post-39067673259336787062009-02-05T11:21:00.000-05:002009-02-05T11:21:00.000-05:00I like it, too. A question for the group: do you think it's possible for people who have never worked in advertising to enjoy the show?Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08369128620206269695noreply@blogger.com
